Problems

ok as some of u will know i've needed new brakes for my MOT. so i speak to kevin at envy performance and order discs and pads for my car. AE111 (supposedly). parts arrive and give them to mechanic to fit.

this is where the problems start. the discs are too big for the hub and have unsafe amount of travel. as a result they are having to go back. then he tries the pads. they are the wrong shape for the callipers. i go to a specialist and take a look at what my pads should look like, and the e111 pads in the book are the same as what i bought.

so basically i have a different brake setup to the normal AE111 model. fair do's methinks. have a look at the AE101 na d AE102 pads and they look a lot alike the pads that came off the car.

then comes the weirest bit. the model of my car is apparently the AE103, which as far as i know doesnt exist

anyone able to shedd any light on the situation?

ed
