Hello everyone,

last week my Girlfriend was driving my MKIII Supra with 7M-GTE engine(German version) and went over a Bumper on the street and broke the Oil pan. She drove and drove :crybaby: until the main and connecting rod bearings are totally damaged.......and i think crankschaft too :ffs: .

The Engine is still running but with a lot of noise. My Question is :help: , is there any way to get the crankshaft outside the engine without taking the whole engine outside the car????like taking the oil pan for example, and working from under ??? i will be very thankful for help....... :crybaby::help::crybaby:

it IS possible to take the crank out of a mk3 without taking the engine out, but it is SO hard, it would be far far easier just to remove the engine!!!

my record time is just over 3 hours from having the engine running to having it by the side of the car, removed.

Its really not THAT hard, and far easier then removing the front subframer, cam belt, gearbox, sump, etc all in situ!!

I'd also say it will be cheaper to just buy a new 7M-GTE then mend your old one.

I payed £650 for one with 70K miles, all wiring and ancilleries, ecu, turbo, intercooler/oil cooler all pas/ac pumps/sensors etc.. if I had got a short block thats stripped down it would have been loads cheaper!!!

I would also advise, while its out, do the cambelt and headgasket!
