A Few Wild Qs

Heres a few things ive been wondering for a while:

Is it just me or:

1. Does the Yaris easily wheelspin (especially in the wet)?

2. Does the yaris get very steamed up (mainly in winter)? I remember me and my mates would come out of college and all their windows would be clear and mine would be steamed to buggery.

3: Does the accelerator go down a short way compared to other cars?

Some Other Qs:

4. Would the window tint fill come off with all the steaming up or any water on them?

5. Are the mirrors heated on the GS?

6. If i turned on the rear window heater and touched any of those little lines on the rear window? would i get burnt (on any car)?

7. How quick is the 1.0 compared to other cars? Iv been told it is quicker than a 1.2 Ford Ka.

Thanks

Hiya.

Just to answer question 1... Yes I find it wheelspins easily in the wet but that's probably down to a heavy foot rather than the car!

Someone will be along shortly to answer your other questions. Please hold. :)

make sure you have enough air in the tyres

easy to demist the car

"6. If i turned on the rear window heater and touched any of those little lines on the rear window? would i get burnt (on any car)?"

ha ha... no

Yaris 1.0 is 49kW 67hp @ 6000RPM

only have info for KA 1.3

Ford Ka 1.3 36-51kW @ 4500-5500RPM (Depends on the engine code,. there are 15)

it also depends on how you drive

when you have tint, the best thing to do is to disconnect the heater things from the rear window!

yaris 1L will wheelspin alot in wet conditions, when you are running out of tread - same with every car! it is possible to wheelspin in wet/dry with new tyres, iv managed it.

you dont  unless you use a cloth!!

i thought if you had tint on and used the rear window heater lines, it would knack the tint up on that window

if its cheap and tacky tint then maybe yes

if its been done by a proper pro using proper tints then itll be fine!

i drove a 1.3 ka for my delivery job before, i found that wheel spun a lot more but i believe that to be because 1. u can hardly hear the engine in the ka and 2. the clutch is a lot springyer on the ka so u tend to bring the clutch up a lot faster, also i suppose i was driving hastilyer than normal as 1. i was delivering hot food :P and 2. it wasnt my car :P
