As far as Im aware GMAIL cant be set up in mail clients such as Outlook, Eudora, Thunderbird etc.

I think it is purely webmail based because of the way it works.

yeah, the unique 'conversation' system of storing emails will mean trying to POP3 to outlook wont work properly

Why not just set up email forwarding to route your gmail messages to an account setup on Eudora :hokus-pokus:

Why would you want to do this? Restricts your mail to one machine ...

I created my own software based on that one... I can still access gmail rom another PC and I can still access my mailserver from other PC's
