Can any one help. I have just bought a new Yaris Blue. The problem I having at the moment is on the drivers wing mirror. It keeps whistling, even when there is a slight breeze.

Can anyone help.

Hiya and welcome!

As you've just bought the car and if you can't find a simple solution, I would take it back to the dealership. It may seem like a minor problem but it's annoying you and that's what warranties are for.

Someone here will more than likely have a suggestion though if that isn't possible at the moment, or if you feel that you don't want to take it back.

VMail - it doesn't matter about speed, hence "a slight breeze". Comments like that don't really help anyone.

My sister complained about the same sort of thing on her Blue, but I drove it almost the length of the country last weekend and didn't hear anything!

Her Wiper Blades squeak though :ffs: , but that's just a case of cleaning the screen properly.

Good luck finding a solution,

Alan

Perhaps it only happens on BLUE Yarii :D :D :D

Seriously, there's some wind noise from the mirrors though not what I would consider intrusive.

There is an issue with poor window sealing that can mainfest as a whistle/rustle

i might be able to help here.

on most car wing mirrors behind them should be a foam sealing block.

from wot your discribing it seems that the wing mirror has been taken out to repair the door but who ever put it back together fergot to put the foam block back hense your getting a breeze through the back of the mirror.

easy way to solve this is take off the cover from the back of the wing mirror and c if the block is in place if it isnt simply put a few strips of duck tape over the hole :hokus-pokus: :hokus-pokus: :hokus-pokus:
