ok, how easy is it to fit big wheels on the mr2? is there any cutting/rolling of the arches needed?

i am going for 18" at the back and 17" at the front. what size tyre will i need for the back? i guess i will need about a 35profile tyre or will i get away with 40?

the wheel i am getting is the e-racer in special edition black :)

17" wheels are a common fitment to mr2's and go on with no problems

as long as they have the correct offset for the car. (et35 i think)

18's should be fine too as a friend of mine has them on his mr2

which is also lowered and he has no rubbing problems.

I'm not sure of the tyre sizes but 235's on the rear with anything up to

a 40 profile would be fine.

Fronts would be 215's

I like the wheels!!!

As far as im aware, there's people who use this forum running on 18's with no problems at all. I guess if your lowering ur motor then YES arch work will be needed. The ride will be really harsh tho.

18's will be absolutely fine mate. i am running 18x8 rims all round and have a 215/35 front and 255/35 rear set up with no issues whatsoever. the car is lowered by 40mm on standard bilstein shocks too, i didnt need to modify the arches at all.

ride is harsh, tramlines like a mo fo, doesnt take corners too well...... but looks the mutts, so im cool with it :D

here's some piccies to keep you occupied :D

Ive got 18"s, 40 profile on the back and 35 on front. Lowered to death and no rubbing.

Getting coil overs soon and then will have 40 on front and will try 45 on the rear.
