nice one... I'll help like....

"Here's the screw driver Rico... " ......

Yeah that sounds about right!

Any instructions with it?

Posted

yeah... instructions with both.

The start button seems easy enough. There's a wire colour guide etc. Just a case of patching it into the original wires.

I'll help... just more confident if someone else is there.... if it brakes I can blame you..... :!Removed!:

ah... oh well...

Toyota Calipers are pains in the bum !!!

Glad in a way that I have 4 spare ones !!

I think i need a o/s front calliper.. sometimes the peddle goes soft but if you give the handbrake a pull they come back to normal...

Any clues stu?

Posted

front ??

It's usually the rears that stick.

Goto somewhere like Budget mate.. they should be able to check them for free !

Posted

My mate bled them for me a few weeks ago and upgraded the fluid to dot4.

It made a big difference but i'm still not happy with them

Its defo a front brake problem

Posted

could be... I had problems with my calipers a while back sticking etc.

Well you can have a look at the ones I have here when you're down. They may need a bit of a clean etc. I havn't even opened the box to look at them.... lol.

Posted

Why does that not surprise me?

Will do mate ;)

Posted

could be your brake lines.

i've upgraded to braided ones.

I must say you do feel feel the difference after high speed braking. ;)

I'm sure I've got two instrument binnacles in the house also... lol. Some other crap at my mums too..... lol.

I'm a MR2 spares bloke...

oooh... I know I've got some new dash bits also as I was gonna paint them. Need to have a dig around for those. Know they're somewhere... maybe at me mums.

Could be right stu,

I'll check them tomorrow might be a weak hose

after high speed braking on the rev1's you no longer have brakes... lol

brake fade kicks in very fast. Rico and myself were bombing about the place.... stopped at a petrol station and man !! .... you could smell our poor brakes a mile off !!

Posted

Lol... I need front pads too.

I ordered a set and forgot to pick them up

Posted

doh !!

I'll get some decent pads I think... then try and save up for some decent brakes of some description.

My local garage said they could fabricate a Big Brake Kit for my car... was supposed to go and talk to them about it. My garage is very handy considering it's in the smallest village in the world !! .... lol. They can do anything.
