sold something on eBay!! my payment options for buyers were paypal, cheque or cash....NOT POSTAL ORDERS!!

someone won the item, and afterwards asked if it would be ok to send a postal order, i said no, just send a cheque/cash/paypal.

IGNORED!!!

today on girlfriends doorstep, POSTAL ORDER!!

what the hell do you do with these things??? someone describe! i have every right to rip it up or whateva! i have no idea what a postal order is and either does my girlfriend!!

Breezer it's as good as cash, just take it to a bank or post office or pay it into your account. It doesn't have to clear like a cheque.

They used to be used all the time instead of sending cash, before Paypal and all that sort of thing was available.

Don't rip it up because your buyer has already paid for it!!

I think so mate that is how it should work as your buyer bought it from the post office.

Why don't you ring Post Office Counters and confirm it with them, unless your post office is around the corner and you can pop around.

It should be straight forward and they should cash it I.E. give you the cash in exchange.

well they didnt!! got to put it into bank account!!

also yesterday a package was attempted to be delivered at 10am, but no-one was in and they left a note saying leave 24 hours before come to pick it up, so just went down 15minutes ago to get it, and they said the post off yesterday hasnt came back yet and wont be til tonight!!

what goods tonight?? :ffs: i have to get up earlier than usual on monday since my girlfriends at work til 1pm, and pick it up.

good flaming job it aint important!! post offices are crap these days!! theyre getting worse and worse!

if using at a post office you have to spend it at the post office, or stick it in the bank, see the back of you paying in slip for details(HSBC, might be slightly different for other banks)
