Caliper Question.....

I have a set of calipers donwstairs, and I'm now actually beginning to think they are from a rev2 ( If I remember properly ).

Rev2's have the same size of calipers/discs as rev3's do they not ?

Is there anyway I can confirm if they are from a rev2 without simply holding them up against my wheel to see if they look different from my rev1 calipers.

ta !

Yeah, rev2 had same calipers as rev3 (& 4 & 5).

If you can make sense of these numbers (I assume they're dimensions) then:

rev1 front disc: 259x25.

rev2+ front disc: 275x30.

rev1 rear disc: 263x16.

rev2+ rear disc: 282x22.

And I always thought that the rears never changed throughout any revision.

na.... need dimensions of the calipers.. or at least rough ones so I can measure these ones up.

or will they have a number, or part number on them ??

yeah... but just by looking at the calipers off the car, how can I tell if they are rev1 or rev2 ??

Who sold me 4 calipers months ago ?? You'll be able to answer the question ... lol.

hopefully will be easy to spot if they are different.

I am about 75% sure they are from a rev2... if they are it'll save me some ££££.

Will just need to get them cleaned up, then find out what else I'll need to get them on the car. :D

If they are rev2 all you will need is the brackets to bolt them on

and new discs and pads.

i'll have a look on thursday mate
