My alarm system ECU has been spiked.The local Toyota dealership tell me that replacement units are unavailable! Can anyone help?

Try this

With the Battery connected, lift the bonnet, the alarm should sound, loosen the negative lead on the Battery and the alarm siren will fade down and sound slurred, then tighten it back up and the alarm will sound normal again.

Press the alarm button on your fob and it should disengage the alarm and the immobiliser.

Apparently it is something to do with these cars being "positive earthed"

Worked for me anyway, give it a try.
