now i want everyone to contribute to this topic, so i will start with a DONT!

DONT; Wire in a PC sound system & amp whilst the leads are connected to the original CD player.

WHY?; Because it sets on fire.

****** **** bugger :(

if you are using 2 devices (2 headuint or 1 headunit and pc) you must make sure that the other device is not connected to the speakers(can be done by using relays, email msn me for more info)

samething happened to me when I used OE and atfermarket headunit at the sametime(only 1 was switched on), they were both red hot and the engine sounded that it was struggling

I tried that not too long ago with a digital inspire 5700 5.1 pc system. But I used the preout's on the back of my headunit. It worked great (until you turn the engine on and get engine whine :( ). So I got some proper Speakers instead

If you connected the amp upto the original cd player then the signal would get amplified by the cd player, and then AGAIN by the sound system amp and you could fry your amp... and cd player... and wiring... and get a toasty warm fire

its probably 0-54 in 8.3 cos the speedo could be wrong, I dont agree with road angels calculation as it does not include the road height and it doesnt pin poit you exact location

not looked at the OE headunit yet, why dont you have an aftermarket one?

what PC is it and whats its OS?
