On the road against each other, there isn't that much difference from one car to the next. The main difference is in DRIVING them! Many a time have i had small races on the roads with other cars, that on paper, i would have demolished, but i only gently get away from.(this being on the scoob with 330brake) I couldn't care less anymore tbh. It's not about the winning, it's about the FEEL of the acceleration, because no matter how fast your car is, there's always someone else with a faster car and you just never know who it is!

To be honest... I have to agree with the others here.. its not big and its not clever... I dont know the technical ins and outs of the clio vs. the tsport... but i do know that idiots who like to race are a big cause of accidents around here... (and one of my bro's friends just totalled his car due to a race that went wrong)

We all -know- the TSport is a good car for what it is... this is a Toyota Forum... we talk about Toyotas.. and this particular bit is about Yaris'... so blatently we are gonna know what our cars can and cant do from experience... we dont need it shoved down our throats with silly 'race' threads. (I use the term 'our' loosely as we dont all own TSports here but some do)

If you wanted to praise the little car there are a lot better ways of doing it than posting about a supposed race between two cars... if you want proof of one over the other go to a sodding track... that way you actually -know- that the other person is giving their all and definately out for proof.

I also picked up on the change from 'my bro' to 'myself' whilst reading this... but it is easy to switch to telling stories from first person..so I cant comment on that. But everyone is entitled to their own opinions.. even Fidge... thats why we post on here... to talk to people... get opinions.

If your bro is happy with his TSport then bully for him... thats great its a nice little car with a bit of 'get up n go' ... but racing (as stated) on public roads is indeed illegal... dont broadcast your criminal ways here ;)

Its posts like this that keep cropping up that make me wonder where the police are when things like this happen... one day someone is gonna get seriously hurt on here due to a 'race' and it wont be pretty.....

What is the deal? Does no one here creep over 70mph? It was a dual carridgway and NOT a single lane road. Its just like putting your foot down on a slip road to join a motorway.

infact i like todo nothing more than speed down the M1 at 150mph and then when i finally get into my home village I wait till 4pm and then go speeding at around 120mph past as many public schools as possible. All in the name of fun!

I wouldnt say I boast, I just like driving in dangerous circumstances .. its gotta be worth it, a few innocent bystanders outside schools in return for some wicked fun racing knowing you are putting others at risk ... i dont see the problem myself, as long as I dont get hurt of course!
