Help Installing Cold Air Intake

I just bought a Vibrant cold air intake for my 97 corolla and have a few problems. It came with a long braket that I don't know where the hell i'm supposed to mount it to. Next it came with a rubber tube that hooks up to the air intake but I don't know where the other end goes. The only thing that I had to disconnect on my stock intake was a censor that hooks up to the distributor. Also, I got a little tiny yellow rubber cap that I have no idea about, lol.

Lastly I have a concern, there seems to be a hole thats about an inch in diamter on the intake and don't know why its supposed to be there. Doesn't this defeat the purpose of the air filter if dirty air can still go into the engine? Any help would be appreciated.
