so basically i can use my motor mounts , its a top drop in i dont have to drop it out the bottom its fromnt wheel drive though, shouldnt the wireing harness from the 4efte work or is it the the american fuse boxesthat are the problem ?

dude im pretty sure you can just drop the sucker in, use same mounts and everything, im also pretty sure that from the outside the engines are about the same size, haven't done it myself, but it comes up alot and everyone says same thing Just plug and play my freind. plus i think its top drop if your using the gearbox you already got in the car. which i dont thinks a problem.

The 5E gearbox/transmission will -not- bolt up to the 4E. The housing is the same, but the internals are not.

Yes, same mounts. Wireharness is different. You are going to need the 4E ECU and a 4E/5E harness for it be 'plug&play'

You can get that harness from a shop in Miami, Fl., U.S. that specializes in the Paseo/Tercel 4E-FTE swap. www.back-yard-productions.com and email Trevor.

And yes, physically, the 4E and the 5E are about the same size.

I did the conversion on a Sera (5E-FHE)

Engine mounts are the same, as are most of the sensors.

You can't use a 5E flywheel/clutch on a 4E. The flywheel bolting points are different.

Wiring is easy (on a Sera), but harder (apparently) on a Paseo
