if the cat is knackered fella , you dont need a straight through pipe, just gut the insides wearing a gas mask or similar, using a drill or something, only if its truely rusty and holed which i doubt, will you need to replace it with a pipe.

if you really want 1 go here. £69 plus delivery. http://www.tuneacar.co.uk/index.php?id_men...f6550bf40f16220 :thumbsup:

Thanks for that.

Did not get a chance to see it myself yet, but a friendly chap in our local garage looked at it for my wife and its supposed to be a hole in the thing.

69 Quid seems fair anyhow!

Just got quoted £150 all in.

There is a hole and broken bracket at the front end of the cat on my 91 GT-R.

The local exaust centre will put in a new bit of flex pipe, the straight pipe for that price.. .........Any of you had this done, and this sounds OK?

Also what do they/should they do with the sensor on the cat? What does this do?

ANY help would reall be greatfully accepted. I want to get it done before the weekend for a trip up to the lakes.

i would imagine you will have poor economy , and engine running problems if they leave out the sensor , its the lambda sensor for oxygen ,which in turn tells the ecu how much fuel to deliver., please someone correct me if i'm wrong.
