was that a hint mate? :D

*cough* yes *cough* ..... ;)

Lol... no probs mate

Is there nothing on the site you got that pic from about what the catch can does?

Posted

This tank catches the oil & moisture in the blow-by gas that causes carbon & sludge build-up in the intake system & the engine.

there you go.... can only be good... lol

Does that mean it needs emptied from time to time too then ??

Posted

Does sound like its a good thing to have

Dunno about having to empty it but it would probably come with instructions

Posted

place part "a" against part "b" ....

god damn.. Rico.... I need you help... lol.

Posted

As per usual... Rico to the rescue :D

How much is it by the way?

Posted

it's about £40 to £50 quid... not too bad. ( from the US, hence the about ££ )

Posted

LOL!!

Its like when Jimlad orded LSD and then asked what it was for!

Posted

lmao... true.

That was a bit more extreme though as it cost me a hell of alot more than a catch can !! .... lol

Don't think I'll buy something expensive without knowing what it does in the future... lol.

bibbs answered a post on this just recently (too lazy to dig it up & or search for it!)

explained it pretty well.

Go for it jimbo, looks nice & shiny too

"What does it do??" "Gotta have it cos its shiny!!"

Hahaha crack up!! It just does exactly what you got off the site jimlad. Instead of your PCV leading to your intake pipe it goes here so as not to direct the moisture and fumes into your intake tract. We sell them at work... cept ours are either blue, silver or red... anodised of course with a small filter to attach as a vent means. Yeah they need emptying but so rarely that you can almost forget about it.

Very shiny tho!!!

Jim I've got a roll of "Aliminium Foil" here .. it's great ..

I can get you a roll too for about £50 if you are interested?

Posted

ROFL :lol::lol::lol:

Posted

hmmmmm shiny ;)

does the rev3 have one?

might need cleaning out. lol

Posted

I would get a good garage to install it. Coz there was a mr2 burned his whole car because there's a leak on the catch can and ignited the oil dripped on the manifold

THINK TWICE!!! are you sure you want to do that?
