I was gonna get a vanity plate, but I preffer it just as it is, didnt want to change it to below an "R" plate or people might think its just a rev3 with a bodykit ;)

Jimlad - why you so set on a G plate?

Something like an A/B/C would hide the age more and also open up more options for you.

I got mine with a private plate - just an Irish one that fitted previous owners initials - starts RIB. Have it set on bike plates so it looks better than a 'normal' reg imo.

I opted for A78 ERP (my initials) when I bought plate - it was originally on my G reg Golf GTi so I had the same restrictions. I went older as I thought it looked better with the 'A'!! I actually think an older plate would look more special?
