Body Kit Required

Hi, new guy to the forum. I've recently acquired a 1990 H Reg 2.0Gti-16 and am after a bodykit to finish it off. I'm not after anything outrageous as am past the going to cruise stage. I just want something tasteful yet sporty, also prices on how much they cost to get painted would be great (or is spraying myself a feasible option, can get access to spraying equipment). Don't want to spend a fortune as the car's not worth that much.

Cheers in advance for your replies

Before I decided to keep my car looking standard, I had a look around for bodykits for the gen 5. Here's some of the links:

Erebuni Kits:

Official Site - http://www.erebunicorp.com/ge/toycel90.htm

(Look under Authorized dealers for uk shops)

Carcept Kits:

http://www.theracersedge.co.uk/acatalog/On...arcept_358.html

Others:

http://www.motorspeed.com/cgi-bin/miva?mot...YOTA_CELICA_180

There's a few more around - mostly US ones with some willing to ship to UK - Google is your friend!

There's also sometimes a few on eBay - but they're generally in the US and you'll need to ship them over.

The thing I found was that a some of the kits just don't fit all gen 5's - some are wide body and some are narrow. The official line from the US Erebuni company was that any bodyshop that specialises in fibreglass would be able to cut and shape the bodykit to match your car. But as you can imagine, this is going to add an extra cost.

Hope you find the one you want! :)
