My 1992 Celica Wont Blow Hot Air

Ive just purchased my first celica and the heating system works ok except what ever position i put the heater cooler dial it will only blow out cold air.

Can any one help

Also if any one hs a black near side wing 4 sale please let me know

check the slider under the bonnet marked * is working ok , this is my 95 celica so yours may be in a different place , this controls hot and cold into the car.

I am assuming your '92 celica is a gen 5 (pop up headlights). On the gen 5 the heater is in the passenger footwell and the control cable goes to the heater rather than the engine bay (the picture is of a gen 6).

If you have a look right in the back of the footwell you should see the cable that connects the heater control knob to an arm on the heater. The cable should go backwards and forwards, moving the arm, as the knob is rotated. If it doesn't then the cable is either snapped or disconnected from the control knob. If the arm on the heater is being moved then it could be either the valve is stuck closed, or an airlock in the system, or something else I'm not aware of.

Check the cable first though, and let us know if it's not that.
