hey guys, i know ive read on here already that rear shocks wear quite quick on a paseo but i just wanted to know if mine are proper shot

basically the car feels as if its a bit underdamped, most probably the rebound coz when i go over bumps at high speed the cars very unstable. also when braking hard from high speed the car tends to sway a lot, and just under normal driving the car jiggles a lot when turning, and when ever i go over a dip or a a crest, the suspension really compresses or err, does the opposite of that (going over the crests)

im probably gonna order some new shocks in, in january, but i also want to get a wheel balancing and alignment job done on my car, and wanted to know if u guys know of any around surrey? and i also want to try that nitrogen tire filling gas, apparently its beneficial and is cheap as hell, so anyone know about where to get that done as well? thanks y'all :D

Yep sounds the same as mine, my fronts need replacing and it ate a set of rears last year.

in just one year??? whoa man! i mean my car's 7 years old, and 2nd hand, but i mean thats jus ridiculous!

i mean if i push down at the back of my car, the whole rear end does a kinda horizontal shimmy, and bounces up (very slightly) a few times!

I think you may have to spend a bit of money here  Is the car lowered? Either way they sound knackered, I get no body roll as such cornering, the tyres give way first ;) Not the most comfortable set up at slow speeds but great when you up the pace a little

yeh for sure <_< tis quite exciting tho, get to put the first real mods onto the car. nah, i havnt lowered it (yet) thatll come a lot later (wen i get the money). but yeh, theyre pretty much done! its quite amusing just testing them out pushing the car down....seems like its doing a little shimmy dance!

i dont really mind bout comfort, i just want it to handle awesome, and new shocks seem the best thing to do right now.

am i right wen i say that getting stronger strut mounts (like the trd items) would actually increase the effectiveness of the struts?? coz id rather do stuff like that all at once rather than individually

Got it in one mate

wat they like?

if you're fixing you're suspension anyway... why don't you have it lowered?... better now while your current suspension is screwed so you're not fixing that and then having springs chopped or replaced later for more money.

Original ones have a lot of play even when they're new, I managed two kill two in as many months by being a bit over enthusiastic when driving ;) TRD ones are much more solid with a better fit onto the shocker top
