I agree with Vipes,

When the taxi fella drove into the side of me, i phoned up the insurers and said 'im Informing you of an accident', that i didnt want to make a claim, but i might, that it was the others guys fault, and he's willing to pay (at the moment) but if it all goes Pete Tong, ive informed you now...

Just one call to cover your *****.. I know what id do .. (Ive already done it :P )

Bad luck mate! I've made the same mistake and its amazing how you become obsessed by the 2 second rule once its happened!

Actually, you'll find that it of you buy the bits from Mr T they're not that expensive at all. They keep the prices of all of these bits down to get the car a low insurance group. I think the big metal bar bit is about 15 quid for the genuine item... (you should see what happens to it in a real crash  - no, on second thought you'd better not ;) but it would make you want to buy a genuine one!)

Glad you're okay (and that you told your insurance),

Alan

look at picture! at first look from myself/my dad/the garage, we thought that we could just get the bit outlined in purple, off another a scrap yaris, and weld on! but we cant because it has to be perfect! so garage told us today that we need the whole bit that gos down (the bit highlighted in yellow). He is going to get this part, so god knows how long the car will be out of action!!

car isnt even at our house now, itl be at the garage until whenever its fixed! hopefully theyre starting on it now, by straightening the bit going across the front of the car where the radiator/fan is attached to

I've been Yaris-less for a month now :( and I really miss it. Should get the new one this week which is good as this things costing me a fortune to run and has all of the controls in the wrong places...

When I go down to gt the new one I'll pop round and take piccies of the aftermath - I haven't seen it in the light yet

Hope she's back on the road soon,

A

I snapped the connection on the light to the body, was going to be about £110 for a new one. Cant find any of these Corolla's in the scrappies here! :(

Hope you get it all sorted soon
