If your car is an import and had to go through an SVA test (Single Vehicle Approval) then it doesn't have European Community Whole Vehicle Type Approval which refers to a manufacturer getting approval for the model he wishes to import. As your car is a "grey" import it doesn't have the UK number plate sized fixings and so can have 2/3 sized letters/numbers.

wickid!

loop hole then

so those mesurements are ok for my car?

you can have a JAP sized plate with motorbike sized letters on two lines, or a UK sized plate with full sized letters.

Nothing else is permitted
