Hi mate,

welcome to TOC.

Have you got any plans for the car yet?? or are you open to suggestions? There are a few Paseos in the Garage ( link at the top of the page ) with various modifications done to them. So come in, have a look around and there should be a few more helpful replies soon

well for starter x racing have good supply of bodykits x racing

inductions and stuff other ppl will prolly point you in theright direction, but for Paseo bodykits you prolly wont find better than x-racing, specially for the el44

body kits and visual mods= waste of money, just to "look fast," especially when the seo's definitely not fast.

performance mods= waste of money because you will NOT go fast on the stock engine, trust me, i've tried.

sorry to break it to you, but it's your car, so have at it! there are plenty of links around, just look on eBay!

You been buying a Civic or summat?

Welcome to the site anyway mate, handling is probably the best route to take. Its not all about outright power, but you make your own choices and do whatever feels right to you, don't be tempted not to do summat cos someone told you not too

Paseo2nr your not trying hard enough, and to defend the little old 5e-fe. There are not many 1.5L 16v n/a engines with no variable valve timing that peform loads better. and as for going fast my mates mx-3 1.8 V6 cant go muich faster than me from standing start until we get to about 100mph, and not many ppl on the roads have the balls to race above about 110, well in our class so what do you need, also did topspeed in my 'seo for about 45 mins at the redline, coming from amsterdam going to calais and then even when i eased off i carried one going for about annother 2 hours going between 80 and 110 and never no problems and still reasonably good mpg using high octane feul. in fact only filled car in begluim, after filling it amsterdam. I wouldnt even attempt that on some other so called "fast cars". In short its pretty good for what it is, not the best, but nowhere near the worst. As for bodykits on your s'seo, even with stock, why the ****** not, there are lots of cars that look really nice but will never be used for speed, don't just put the car down 'cus yoou got beat in a race by a gti or summin, people have fast cars and still get beat cus they dont know how to drive them. Anyway making a seo look nice is a lot more worth while than making summin like honda civic look nice. On a different note toyota's vvti is kaning hondas vtec. Anyway, sorry, got a bit defensive a bit then

Well i plan to do the outside modification on the car and after that i plan to move to the engine maybe a few mods with the interior too but, i plan to start with the outside espacially now that i got hit on the left i need to get it re-spraid but im holding back on it so i can spary it when it has the bodykit

is on plus i aslo plan to change the whole color. right now its black i want to get it spraid to a glossy blue or a custom made color.

I've tried as hard as a college student can, short of an msd ignition and turbocharging, and my brother's entirely stock civic is faster. as for your comment about the engine, yes, it's true, but the fact is, there are very very few engines like that anymore, and the thing that helps the seo the most is the lightweight of the body, not the displacement. I wouldn't get beaten by a GTI, i'd have my A** handed to me by about two seconds in the quarter. overall, auto-x is the best option for the seo, cus it can still take corners. I have nothing against my car. It's a good beginner car, because i have so much more planned for my next car, i'm not going to waste any more time investing in it. i understand your motivation behind aesthetics, but i've never caught on to the idea that it's cool to have a clean looking kitted car if it can't hold it's own on the road. sorry if it seems like i'm insulting, i'm not trying to, just stating point of view  like i said before, don't let anyone tell you how to mod your own car, it's your money. people called me crazy for modding the 'seo, but i did it anyway. :arrgg-matey:

well mine will have quite a bit more kick soon using my 5e-fe. What car are you getting next?

Posted

probably either an EVO MR or M3. With my majors, i should graduate looking for a job that pays better than $80k/yr.

Don't have great knowledge (or much at all, come to think of it) of these motors- but wouldnt it be a piece of ***** to fit an FHE unit from a sera?

U start off with 108-110 BHP instead of 85ish dont u?

If i'm talkin <if my vocabulary was any smaller, it would be nearly as small as my genitals> just tell me- I'm a celica man

aye, i think 1996 engines actually has summin about 94bhp and yea, 5e-fhe would be better to mod up prolly. But this is how i fgure it 'cus of its higher compression it might not be as safe to turbocharge as the standard 5e-fe. and you can always fit bigger injecters, and the rest to get it 5e-fe close to 5e-fhe spec, but your still not talking major power increase. But some one will prolly come along and say i'm wrong so.....
