Custom 5sfe-3sge Engine...

I'm building myself a nice little 2.2 litre N/A engine for my MR2. I've sourced the 5s-fe and a 3s-ge engine, and I plan to put racing cams, adjustable pulleys etc on it. It will obvesiously need a custom ECU but I was wondering who people would recommend I go to for the tuning?

A toyota specialist would be great, but what are the choices??

A mate of mine got the engine from a Toyota Camry.

Thor Racing huh, not heard of them. Can you give me some information on them, location, web address etc.

well, firstly, where in the country are you (and which country)?

I'd have thought if you were going 2.2 you would be US based, as it's what a lot of them do over there.

He's most likely an english bloke at least, he's spelt "litre" our way. We did get the 2.2 Camry here I think so he could be here.

Why not go the whole hog and make it a 5S-GTE though, its been done before. Not as free revving as the 3S due to the longer stroke but gobfuls of torque.

I have thought about going turbo before, however, it isn't the way that I intend to go.

What I want is a rip-snorting 2.2 litre N/A engine. Racing cams, metal head gasket, adjustable pulleys, throttle bodies, uprated fuel injectors and pump.

However, this is obvesiously a completely custom engine, and as such will need custom ECU and all mapped.

I was just trying to find out if anyone knew any garages that have what it takes to take on this project.
