4efte Error Codes?

Hi,

does any body know where to find the diagnostic error codes for a 4efte starlet turbo engine? i have my engine running now but i have an error code 12, but i am not sure what it is.

any help would be appreciated!

well if its same as 4a-ge codes, and i'm not certain but i think toyota codes are the same all over but.....

Code 12

Signal:

-RPM Signal

Diagnosis:

-No G or NE signal present for 2 seconds during cranking

-Open G circuit

Common Trouble Area:

-Open, short in G or NE circuit.

-Distributor

-ECU

According to this (see attached) 12 is RPM signal. Either no RPM signal, no TDC top dead centre signal) and is related to the distributor / coil / amplifier / starter circuit.

thanks for your help, i have found the problem i think. i had a couple of red wires not connected coming from the ecu. its the 'starter signal' but i am not sure where they are supposed to go to on the other end. any body know?

not sure dude, but on another note, what FM Intercooler have you got there? custom made?

derp just read your blue bits, very nice, where'd you get you intercooler?

intercooler any cheaper than this one??

i got my fmic from deamon tweeks it cost me £270 but is bigger that the one on your link. they are custom made to order tho, i think the company who made it were called adh fabrications.
