Avensis Xenon Lights

Hi,

I want to change the main beam light of my Avensis to a Xenon/Blue/Day light white light as you see on some Expensive cars i.e Mercedes,BMW,Audi etc..

So does anybody know of where i can buy some online...i have been to Halfords but there quality are not very good.

Hi,

Just to let you TOC Members know i bought the Philips Blue Vision Ultra 4000K xenon bulbs and also Philips Blue Vision W5W sidelight bulbs!....my Avensis lights now look fantastic...i would recomend this set of bulbs to anyone wishing to up grade!!

so either the car comes with xenon

or you use it with normal lights

That's not quite true!

Here's a site that has aftermarket (bi) xenon. The "problem" is you have to find a good place tot install ignitors and transformers yourself with these kits but a reasonable DIY'er can do it.

My T-Spirit has High Intensity Discharge Headlamps and they give off the white light you mention. Is this not the same for all T-Spirit's??

Only the 2.4Litre Avensis comes with them.

Even the 1.6 rides well... And also i know the performance of 2.0... i cannot imagine 2.4... it should fly... we dont have those here...

Yes it does pull very well with excellent mid-range acceleration it's mated to a 5 speed sequential and I maybe wrong but it is exclusive to the UK only, as the UK stopped selling the Camry and as a result the 2.4 Avensis is the flagship car for Toyota UK. MPG is not to bad, for me anyway my previous car was an X-Trail Nissan 2.5 and in comparison the Avensis achives much better.

I prefer the Avensis Styling Interior and exterior to the Camry, the Camry shape didn't appeal to me at all, but if the Avensis didn’t have the 2.4 engine in the first place my next choice was the Honda Accord 2.4. Cars as big as these need something a little more then a 2.0 Litre especially if you have Auto transmissions as I prefer.

The List price was £23,145 for the Avensis Saloon but after some haggling I paid £21800 about £650 more then a 2.0 Litre, which was nice :D but having a good relationship with the dealer helped a lot as many in my extended family have bought cars from the dealer on my recommendation.

well as i understand then you have 4 different models

you cant get xenon lights here as an option... they are standart in all elegant and executive elegant models... which means xenon is standart in all models but 1.6 comfort...
