relocating the BOV to just before the throttle body, after the intercooler.

Theory being

1. recirc nice post intercooler cool air back in to the intake system

2. Nearer the site of obstruction (the throttle body) so faster response

what do people think? Sounds all sense to me :)

should work...but the BOV will need to be recalibrated due to the pressure drop in the intercooler. No major problems otherwise though as far as i know

oh and also any air between the compresser and intercooler might blow back against the compresser wheel instead of going through the intercooler and into the BOV? That could be a problem..(perhaps insignificant though?)

I've got 2 BOVS .. one is tapped into the rubber hose BEFORE the IC ..

It's the one that fell off @ 120mph at Nurburgring ..

been asking in other forums about this it turns out its also a popular mod on cosworths, so now VAG 1.8T powered cars and Cossies owners recomend this mod, turns out FORGE even make a relocation kit for the 1.8T cars its that popular, it still seems really strange to me that i have never heard any mention of this on any MR2 forums. I'm thinking of getting a diaphragm Forge recirc valve and getting some new intercooler pipes made to relocate it now :)
