Only way I could get it to do that bad is driving with the parking brake on....yeah....that'd be it! She didn't twig the parking brake was foot operated! :yes:

What a load of b******s ! How can you compare a full sized family car with a hairdryer? Not only that but they must have ragged the cars senseless. I just physically can't get less than 50 MPG from my Audi A2 no matter what I do so to only get 42 mpg from a C2 is just ridiculous - did they have a hole in the tank?
