Tvss Iv-d Alarm Probs Please Help

Hi i currently have a fault with my alarm :censor: , sometimes it will not arm or disarm from the fob, then another time you can arm and disarm as much as you want, were is the alarm situated on a celica 14obhp 2000/w and what should i be checking. Thanks.

i have a new one coming tommorow, what i cant work out though is that when it works it will work from a decent distance from the car?? Is there any way to disable the alarm??

On occasions I have had this problem also.

It only happens when I park in certain places. As seen on "Top Gear" there can be a problem with all cars and there blips if there is a strong radio signal nearby, so much infact that you might stay locked out. In particular it occurs in an underground car park by our local leisure complex (Cinema, restaurants etc)

I always move my car as soon as I realise.

It will also have a problem if not everything is properly shut, i.e the boot, doors etc.

Then as previous suggested, the Battery, which it probably will be... Just thought I would shed some light, not that it has helped I am sure.

just a precaution on changing the Battery , some car makers key fobs have to have the batteries changed in less than i think 30 seconds , otherwise they lose their memory and need replacing altogether.not sure on the celica ones though. :thumbsup:
