Hello most helpful people i just would like to ask a few questions, ive had my GT for 2 weeks now, but never got a manual so just wanna ask a few questions

Its a 1995 st202 GT, just wanna know

A. where is the engine code so i can order a cam belt

B. do these have a dual lock, dead lock thing

a non manual question, the lever for the fuel cap, mine is really stiff, is this normal, plus is there a catch anywhere to open the petrol cap incase the cable breaks.

Oh yeah also after a while after locking the car with the imobiliser the lights flash, this can happen about 30 mins or so after originally locking it.

Cheers

Not too familiar with the ST20`s but here goes.

A. where is the engine code so i can order a cam belt

The engine code is usually on the cam cover or the cambelt cover. Normally it`s quite prominent.

B. do these have a dual lock, dead lock thing

No idea on this one.

a non manual question, the lever for the fuel cap, mine is really stiff, is this normal, plus is there a catch anywhere to open the petrol cap incase the cable breaks.

Mine was stiff when i got it. Try oiling the mechanism/catch inside the fuel flap. Worked a treat on mine. Think you can accessit from inside the boot, but you have to remove some of the trim.

Oh yeah also after a while after locking the car with the imobiliser the lights flash, this can happen about 30 mins or so after originally locking it.

Try closing the fresh air vents. They can cause air movement inside the car which is picked up by the ultrasonic sensors.

You`ll prob get loads more answers to these questions, hopefully by someone with a 202.:thumbsup:

call the dealers with the vin number they will tell you what belt you need.the belt part number is 13568 , renew both the tensioners while your at it.

petrol cap lever should not be stiff. there is no other way to open it if it snaps , other than a new cable or using a screw driver to open the thing. is it stiff to move with the flap already open too ? not sure about the double lock as mine is on the alarm fob , i never use the keys. different alarms do different things , mine alarms after 2 minutes and never ever flashes again .

Ive oiled the catch, the cover is easy to move now, but the handle thing is still stiff.

I use the keyfobs too, just that if you lock the car using the fobs, then uise ya key to lock the car it locks again or something odd :)

Any other question, how many litres does the tank hold.

Also has anyone ever used one of the ecotec valves, any idea what they are like.

Cheers

Did you oil the catch on the flap? Also the release handle pivot may benefit from a few drops of oil. And if you pull the lever up to its full extent and hold it there you should be able to see about half an inch of cable underneath the lever. Put a drop of oil on the cable and work it a few times. Hopefully that should do the trick.

Fuel tank on the 202 is approx 13 gallons (60 litres)

Give the ecotek thing a miss. Doesn`t do much if anything.

Not sure what you mean about the central locking.

Wasn`t aware there was a 3S-FE in the celica range. Might be wrong with the gen 6. But not one in the Gen 5.

3sfe = 140 bhp , 3sge = 173 bhp

oh yeah i looked at the vin number thats 17, i was just looking on different sites for the model number, by the looks of this st202 then followed by BLMGFW

looking on differnt sites this refers to the engine code, such as BLMGK is a SS-I model. BLMVF is a SS-II model and the BLMZF is the SS-II model, all accoring to

http://www.toyotaimportsforum.co.uk/forum/...pic/1554-1.html

but looking at http://linjin.mine.nu/celica.htm

his model is st202 BLMGFW same as mine and his is a ge.
