Yaris Bumper Info Needed Please Folks!

Hi all,

I was wondering about changing my wifes black "Rubber" bumpers for colour coded ones.

She has a year 2000 Y-Reg 1.0 VVTI 5 door - sporting the rubber bumpers.

We were wondering which bumpers (front and rear) would fit. i.e. - which models and years can we suitably use a straight bolt-on replacements ?

Are there any special fitting kits required ? or can i just go to a scrap yard and buy a front & rear bumper for her car ?

Your advice is greatly appreciated!!

Cheers

fred

i can do my best to tell you what wont fit, I cant be 100% certain about what will.

The mk 2 bumpers probably wont fit and all T-Sport bumpers definately are not the same as your current bumpers.

robie -

what year/month did the yaris go from a mk1 to a mk2 ? - and is this the headlamps that have the lower lip on the newer ones ?

Isnt the rear bumper unchanged on the newer model (correct me if i am wrong) :)

I cant seem to find a good reference guide website for yaris model changes etc

All help appreciated !

cheers

All back bumpers of all Marks will fit, but if you want to fit a MK1 Bumper onto a MK2 car then you have to switch the headlights too.. vice versa...

It would be easier/cheaper to get the strips colour coded.. would be about 80 quid? you can get replacements ones on eBay for a tenner.
