Driving Experience Gifts

Recommended Posts

It's my 24th birthday in a couple of weeks and my dad suggested I could have a driving experience as my main gift as long as it's not too expensive. I've seen a few on the net, there's a ferrari experience (3 laps driving) for £99 and a rally experience (20 miles driving) for £140. There are a few others such as Lotus and Porsche 911 experiences. I can't seem to find any 1 day advanced driving courses ;) . Has anyone had one of these gifts, are they any good?

My girlfriend got me a driving experience at Thruxton a few years ago.

I got to drive a touring car, formula ford single seater & best of all a 355 ferrari !

I bought one for my wife for her birthday in September 2003. It's valid for 12 months so we figured it'd be better to blast a Ferrari in the summer when the sun isn't so low in the sky blinding you. Few months back they rang up the day before and told us the track was water logged. "So when can we next do it?" I asked, "November or next year" - !Removed! HELL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So she'll be doing it in 2005 - if it doesn't rain!!

To be fair though the rain wasn't their fault obviously, and to their credit they offered to pay for any expenses incurred due to the short notice of cancellation :)
