Mr2 Turbo/ Names

what is a mr2 GT, i thought it was a turbo version, or is it GTS

please let us know looking to buy one

An Mr2 Turbo is called an MR2 Turbo

The GT and GTS are trim/model types - nothing to do with engine.

Generally a GTS will be tin top, cloth seats - basic spec - but there are many that have added options. The GTS is supposedly a lightweight version - but how much lighter it is is debatable over the advantage of a nicer interior :)

The GT is generelly much higher spec with aircon /climate control, leather/suede seats etc...

You can also get both in TBar to confuse mattters more

The best thing to do is just find the best example you can with the spec/mods you like and get that.

I wouldn't worry about refining you search to JUST a GT or whatever. As it happens, mine was advertised as a GTS model and I almost didn't phone about it at first as I assumed it was non tbar etc...turned out to be a GT Tbar.

The main decision to make, in my opinion, is that of Rev 1/2/3/4/5 or whatever.

For most I think the common decision will be between a rev2 and a rev 3 model but again - get the best example you see - not the best one in theory :)

If you go out looking for a very specific car... you will be searching for a long time.. and even longer to find a decent one!.. :D

I was after a Black Rev 2 T-Bar Tubby GT...

Ended up with Blue a Rev 3 Tubby GTS ... lol

Seems like you have it licked mate. You'll know when you've found "the one". You'll be like a 5 year old, and won't be able to sleep the night before you go to get it. Doesn't matter what colour/spec it is.
