I wouldn't go for the RS it will ***** you off that the forthcoming 'ST' (lesser model) will be quicker than the RS! 5 cylinder turbo vs 4 cyl turbo!

Like someone has said the second hand p1 makes for a vastly superior car to the RS both in speed and handling terms!

Sorry to hear about your car Nick, glad you ok! but just wanted to say that a couple of my friends traded their Civic Type R 's in against the Focus RS and both initially were happy bee,s as everyone is with a new car but after the novelty wore off they are both mega mega disapointed with it and much preffered the Type R, the Focus RS is just no as good as people think. But then it is down to personal taste.

What about an RS1600I????? Only 24 year old!!!! :P

Sorry Nick I always try to look at things from a logical point of view and the focus does make a lot of sense but I think its the most boring looking Hot Hatch out there, the CTS is mildly radical compared to the Ford...

Where's the Corolla's tubbed wheel arches, wheres the Corolla's mean looking bumper!! etc etc! If you saw the Corolla and RS Focus in your rear view mirror you would only move over for the Focus because it looks like its telling you get the f**k out of my way!

I understand that people have got their own preferences, but you cannot honestly say that the corollas more interesting looking than the RS!!

I have to agree with jjen, the Ford Focus RS is having it's fair share of problems. A rather affluent friend of mine bought one and at 5k miles the engine developed two bad oil leaks, at 6k miles the drivers seat mechanism colapsed and a present (10k miles) the wheels are having to be replaced due to the laquer literally falling off! Thankfully all being down under warranty. There have been other faults as well...not aceptable on a car costing this much money.

jjen...RS1600i yes nice car, My favorite was 'White Lightening', the Series One RS Turbo of around 1985.

As for other RS's it would have to be a 70's Mark 1 Escort Mexico with 'bubble arches' and four 'Cibies' or a Mark 2 Escort Mexico, yellow with a black vinyl roof and RS 4 spoke wheels.

But that's what CTS drivers like about their car: Nobody knows....

Actually with the 2 pictures you've posted there I think there's not that much between them and possibly the focus is a little smarter, its from the rear i personally think the focus looks orrible, but its just my opinion...
