Short Shifter Fitting!

Hi,

trying to fit my short shift. can anyone whos fitted one tell me how they popped the old lever ball from the housing, mine will not move.

did you remove the ball housing from the bracket to do so. if you did how do you get the spring clip from the end of the pin.

any help would be great.

;) ok mate. where did u get short shift from. i couldnt get one . so i chopped down my gearleaver. has the same effect and works spot on.

got it off eBay not very impressed at it is now miles away when you put it in 1,3 and 5th but it is much smoother than the standard lever and shorter when in 2 and 4.

i cut mine down too. is it not as notchy as the standard?

My V has a Ci's (Think thats how its spelt) short shift in it. Its ok, never felt what it was like before hand :)
