sounds daft, but have you checked to see if the arial is conncted properly in the back of the stereo? it may have come loose or not be connected at all?

Of course i tried that! But still the same. I can receive the AM stations.

I had that problem earlier this year

took it back to mr t and he fitted new radio unit...

said one of the components had blown and it woz jus easier to fit a new unit

didnt bother me coz still under warrenty :thumbsup:

could be worth checking out

yea the early yaris had a problom with the FM receiver most of them where coveried under warranty by toyota and fixed or replaced free. this may seem like a joke but we had a few that we disconect both the upper diplay unit and lower tape/CD unit turned on the engine and then we reconecect the both units and they work, don`t know why but it may be worth a try.

some radios can pick up am , even without an aerial , fm is a totally different kettle of fish. :yes:
