Fuel Cut Defender

Any advice on fitting a Fuel Cut Defender would be appreciated

I fitted it to the wires as advised in the instructions

1 wire went to the pink and blue +5V, fatter wire than the rest , closest towards the rear of the car

1 wire went to the TPS signal wire , on the connector block closest to the front of the car (4th pin in ) , a black connector block

1 wire went to the brown wire on the same connector block above (top right hand corner of the connector block)

Does this sound correct ????

Its now fitted and the fuel cut kicks in !!!

the instructions tell you to unplug the ECU fuse , wait 30 seconds and then turn the FCD down a little bit from max.

I'm in the process of doing this but want to make sure I've definately wired it in correctly

Thanks for any advice , PS what is the max boost I should run it at without engine engine mods in BAR ???

Cheers

Jonathan

Not sure which FCD your using. But provided your fuel cut is still functioning it should be safe to play with the adjustment. If that then works you`ll know that its wired in right.

I personally wouldn`t run above 1.2 bar (17psi) without further safeguards. i`ve set my boost controller to run at 1 bar (14.5psi) with the fuel cut set at 1.2 bar(17psi) This allows for the occasional boost spike.... I hope :D

after finding an ECU wiring diagram on the net i reckon i've wired it in wrong !!!

but I'll just unclip the scotch blocks and re-wire it in the morning

thats what I've read nost people running at 1bar,

I think I'll stick to 1 bar as well

cheers for your advice

Hopefully get it sorted in the morning

cheers

Jonathan
