whats everyones opinions on wheels for a ae86 rolla all in white, bumpers spoiler everything.ive heard and read all the stuff about the pcd and offset requirements.

i was thinking dark grey or dark gold deep dish with chrome rim.

saw a page off wheels on a site, longchamp xr4's look cool, it said common but thats obviously in the states

im having trouble finding what my options are.

can anyone point me in the right direction. any help appreciated.

A while back, we all had a big discussion on what what wheels are best for a '86! The irish love the 13" minilites, im sticking with 14" at the moe but people like pazza who has a very cool looking JDM Treuno runs some phat 15" with the biggest dish ive seen!

Its all down to your personal preference! But rims like pazza has got are hard to get hold of and you have to roll your arches etc to fit the babies in! :)

Speaking of wheels. Will 8 x 13's fit a AE86 without scrubbage? Bear in mind that its sitting on the bump stops. Currently its on 7 x 13 superlites and the tyre is slightly rubbing the shock. Dont know what offset the 8 inchs are yet.

ive heard 8 wide is ok, depends what tyre your gonna run i suppose.

would you want to sell the superlites if you get the new wheels?

Well its for the brother i'm asking. i think he's planning on 205/40's. there pfobably wouldn't be any scrubage with 185's but it wouldnt look right having stretched tyres on an AE86. As for the superlites, i think he's planning on getting them refurbishd and using them for diffing, however i'll ask him although we're located in ireland.

AE86 is ALL about having stretched tyres dude, its what makes them look cool.. Phat rims, low offsets and small tyres. And having a 40 series tyre on a 13? Thats gonna be too small a tyre wall, it'll look silly cus there will be huge arch gap, everywhere! I run 185/60/14 on my 9" wide rims. I think it looks great! :P

I'm on about stretched width wise. Chunky tyres are for twin cams. He's currently running 185/50's but if he fits 205/45's he'll have the same height side wall. His car is sitting on the bump stops at the moment but if he puts 205's on 8 inch wide wheels he's worried that they will be rubbing constantly.
