I've ordered a new Celica 190 from my local Toyota dealer. I called in yesterday to see the car and noticed that the sunroof had been opened at some point as debris from a tree it had been parked under was on the back seat!! This debris doesn't bother me as such, but why had it been opened? Had it been driven perhaps? Does anyone know what mileage to expect on a new Celica 190?

As an Ex-Car salesman, I can give an answer to this question . Your new 190 shoud not have any more than 20-25 miles on the clock, it would have been driven though on the PDI (pre delevery inspection) just round the block. But as for this debris, well sounds like a free tank of fuel to me. Just tell them and stand your ground, trust me saw it happen all the time even to me. Note the word Ex-Car salesman. :D

Well Chaps,

I bit the bullet and told the dealer I wasn't happy with car. In true toyota style he invited me to come for another look around it. I was relieved to discover only 11 miles on the clock and that the car had been cleaned until it shone!.

Thanks for your help

Paul.
