two questions,

1) will 215/45 (or 40) 16's fit on the paseo?? and if so, would the 17's fit as well?

2) how much work will it take to put 6.5" Speakers into the rear deck of the paseo?? heard it can be a !Removed! but i mean is it do-able??

ive got 205/45/17 on my paseo and its been lowerd 40mm! i had a little rubbage but i just skimmed the inside of the wheel arch, now its fine. looks good to!

205/45-16s wil fit, 215s are to wide and will probbaly rub, rear Speakers are easy to drop in, originals are 6.5, just difficult to drill the goles and get the screws in. better off going for a sub 1st

got 17's (205-40-17) on my Paseo and dropped 40mm on Spax springs and no trouble or modding needed at all!!

Also got 6x9s on the rear shelf of the Paseo it was quite fiddly and i didnt cut the metal shelf.

Will try find the thread where i explained how to do it and post the link.

ooh cool cool, cheers guys :afro:

pointer on the 215's being too wide, if i put in spacers, that would stop the wheel rubbing on the inner arch but what about the fender??

and the Speakers in the back are 5.25 inchers, not 6.5 (to paseogt4)

btw 96paseo paseogt4 and matt, ur paseo's look sweeeeeet

mt advice would be to leave the rear Speakers as they are and instead invest more money into the fronts along with an amp and sub maybe.

as for wheels, 17s are no problem at all. the majority of 17"ers are 7j wide. mine just happen to be 7.5j and they also have no problemsfitting on. the only "problem" i have is that being 7.5j, 205 tyres look rather stretched over the rim, and those rim protector things on some tyres do sweet FA.

i've not tried 215s yet to be honest, but i probably will next time round...

my paseo has 215/40/16, never driven it, but i have moved it around and it rubs really bad on full lock.

I've put 205/40/17's on mine and get very slight rub on full lock. They have made a huge difference to the handling. I changed the rear Speakers for the same size, but Kenwood top of the range. They sound great, but I get lots of vibration through the boot. I think it is the 2 tension bars that run accross the top. I am going to try some acoustic material to sort this out. My only problem is the stupid shape of the front Speakers. Anyone got any good ideas to fix this?

build custom mounts for the front Speakers.

Check out my garage as i think there is a pic of the Speakers in the mounts!
