Had my MR2 for over 2 years now and never bothered with connecting up the ariel because the connectors were different.. seems the !Removed! use different plugs or something.

Well, I have a new Kenwood MP3 player coming tomorrow and I think its about time I rigged up the ariel so I can listen to Classic FM..etc. (kidding).

Is there a lead I can buy from Halfrauds or something?

Does anyone have any idea what I'm talking about at all??...lol.

no idea mate.

The standard system in my Sera, a JDM only car, has the right aerial connector. if yours is a different connector why not just replace the whole lead??

Right up to the ariel?

Cant change the lead to the stereo because its intergrated.

The ends dont fit. :(

you on about the power or signal connector? a signal adaptor will probably come with your new stereo, power adaptor will be on a wiring harness which can be bought for halfrauds!!!

think i might know what u mean, i have 2 signal connectors in my 2 but one of them doesnt fit right, this is for the aeriel in front window and is for pickin up jap traffic signals, not much use over here but will still get a bit of signal.

I know about the jap traffic thing, just taped it up. The black lead that looks like it should connect to the ariel lead on the back of the stereo doesnt fit...

Got a Kenwood MD player at the moment and fitting a Kenwood MP3 player at the weekend.

The long centre part of the coax on the car doesnt fit with the stereo at all but it is the ariel. I'm sure there must be an adaptor. (I hope)

i know what u mean now, all i did to fix this was ram a small screwdriver down aeriel connector on stereo to widen metal hole, hard to describe without pics.

had to do this when fittin to mates merc, he wanted proper job so we went to halfrauds but they were no help, went to another stereo place and he knew what i meant and said he knows of no such adaptors! he recommended just widening the hole and said its no problem as long as u dont widen it too much, or strippin coax and puttin new connector on(v tricky)

I hate working with coax, I'll just stuff a driver in there and widen the hole then tape it all up.

Thought there would be an adapter for it tho.
