Hi im new to here only had my CTS for a week now , took her out for a spin this morning (to be honest took my finacee to work) but on way back thaught id go the scenic way and hit lift whilst going over a slight hill and next noticing rev going of the limit and a slight thud :D .

think ill have to start taking flying lessons....

p.s has anybody noticed a slight vibration when getting the revs high sounds like it coming from the stereo area...

The vibration coming from the stereo area is a common problem. My CTS has done 5000 miles and its been annoying me for the last 4k ! Cant seem to make time to take it in to Mr T though. You may notice a warping of the dashboard and a gap appearing between the radio housing and the dash, this again is a common problem and apparently Toyota have a fix for it. Its probably related.

Same problem with my CTs around 4000 revs you get a small rattle from the dash, going to have them take a look at it when i take it in for it's 50k service sometime soon, believe i have heard they will change the whole top dash under warranty?

you mentioned that there is a fix for the warping of the dashboard... do u know how to fix it??
