Resetting Of Engine Signal

I have toyota Corolla LE 2000 -43k, My engine alert is coming for 2 months , Local car repair did inspection and said need 45k service.. As I like to have service done by Toyota and they are charging 200 for inspection , etc. Can I reset engine alert myself? How? Thanks in advance.. RNK11
