Lowering Springs

i was wondering if lowering th springs would damage the standerd shocks over the years you kept your car.because where i live the roads are quite bad and bumpy.so plz someone give me some answers please.....

Probably will damage your shocks but would take like 2-3 years to do so! Someone correct me if I'm wrong!

well i have ordered tein s-tech springs and they lower my yaris 35mm at the front and 38mm at the back.

my new apex 35mm drops should be waiting at home for me now :) + getting my new rims tomorrow :)
