Cts Acceleration Question

Ok, my 04 CTS has done 5100 miles. A few weeks after I bought it I had loss of acceleration at 6200 rpm, in essence the lift wasn't there (and the engine was fully warmed up). Shortly afterwards I had TRC and VSC problems, but thats another story. Mr T said the loss of power was not related to these problems.

I'm noticing a distinct difference in power delivery at the lift. Sometimes it absolutely flies, and the power surge throws me back into my seat. Other times however it doesn't, the lift is barely noticable (a bit like when the engine is cold and the power tails off at 6200). Each time I approach the lift I really push my foot down. One thing I have noticed is that the gap between the top of my right foot and the underside of the dash is really tight, I often catch my foot underneath the dash on the control box panel and I only have size 10 feet - hardly Bigfoot !

I'm just wondering whether its the way I drive or whether there is a problem with the acceleration ?

Cheers

I'm not sure but i think that i read about someone else here that got the same problem as yours and the problem WAS really TRC or VSC. You didn't say how your problem was noticed with your TRC and VSC. Was the lights coming on?

You should really have a Toyota-garage to have a check at your car, you do have warranty so...

Hope they sort it out! :)
