New Corolla Estate

We only have one small Toyota dealer here in Cornwall. He has no estates in stock so I'm struggling to find out what the load area looks like and whether the floor is hard & flat, especially with the seats down. The current brochure only shows the outside.

Does anyone know where I can find some pictures?

Failing that does anyone know of a good sized dealer in south west England likely to have some in stock?

So here I sit, 200 miles from civilisation, money in me pocket, hatchback test drive set up for Saturday at a dealer who's patently not keen to get an estate in till I commit, brochure in hand full of pictures of sides, fronts and the occasional dash, all completely useless when you need useful info like...............

How long is the load area?

How wide is the load area?

How much do the wheel arches intrude into the load area?

Is there a sill (cill?) to lift stuff over?

Is the load area floor flat and hard?

Where's the spare wheel/jack/wheel brace?

Is there a light?

How do Toyota expect to sell these things unless they give us basic information like this or 'persuade' dealers to stock at least one?

Can I persuade someone from Burnaston to go into work with a camera and tape measure? Probably not, but you may wish to take this post along to your team meeting. You never know, you may just be responsible for boosting estate car sales in the more remote areas.

I'm surrounded by mid-sized Audi, BMW and VW estates. I now know why I never see a Corolla one.................They're so difficult to buy!!

:crybaby:

Have you tried the Toyota website for the dimensions?

Yes. Better than the brochure but they still only give the 'boot' dimensions with the rear seat up........unless the load area really is shorter than it's wide?

Thanks CK

Ummm... try emailing them or something?

Surely your dealer should be able to get that information for you, they are Toyota after all

Go down and tell them to ring a dealer with the car in stock & make em get the old tape measure out

i am suprised that you cant find that info in broschure... Load area is flat with seats down, it is pretty hard. I think spare is under the car, jack is under the boot cover. As much as i know on all Corollas spare is full size. Wheel arches dont intrude much, area itself isnt huge but it is ok.

What exactly are you looking from the car?
