Engine Swop ... How Much

do any of you people know how much a second hand 3sge engine could be bought for, and a rough fitting cost?? would it fit in no problem to my 3sfe slot

fennies have 3sgte engines for around £600 -£700 then depending where you go look to pay around £500 for swaping over (maybe more as its a conversion and you will also need the ecu and maybe the loom too)

maleborn , i actually laughed there myself, was asking because i saw a 3sge in my local scrappy for £500 only 60k on it , a uk one , sounded like a cheap way to gain 40bhp+

I take it you have an SS-1 gen 6 import? The gearbox is the same as the 3s-ge, so they should fit together.

You will need the ECU and probably the harness as well. You will likely need the induction system back as far as the air box. I suspect the exhaust manifold (if not the entire system) is different to the 3s-fe. So it may have a different lambda sensor type/location.

I think it would be less hassle to trade yours in for one with a 3s-ge engine.
