just got my frist cts and herd about the lift

thought i would try it but will not rev over 7000rpm what can i do

Is the car a new? If not I'd give it till it has about 1200 miles on it before you rev it too much. Just to be on the safe side for the long term.

it is 52 reg and 4700 miles

was the car walmed up ? if the engine is cold it wont rev

4,700 miles is low for a 52 reg. Mines a 53 with nearly 14,000.

If the car is warm you should be fine (apart from the mpg). But the rev limiter is very quickly reached (specialy in 2nd).
