What exactly is wearing in the clutch - is it worn clutch cover or worn clutch plate.

How do you drive? I take it you do know that the wrong way to drive a manual car is to keep a foot on the clutch pedal because this puts a very small load on the clutch system and causes it to wear out quickly.

A clutch of good quality, ie Toyota OEM, properly fitted and adjusted, and properly used by the driver, should last around 50,000 miles before changing required.

you are absolutly correct it should last about 50,000m but that isnt the case.. My drving is fine from the best of my knowledge i dont keep my foot on the clutch that long only long enought too get it in and out of gear.. i really dont think it is my driving..sometimes when removing the clutch it doesnt even show any sign on wear wat so ever besides the inner grooves or even the springs sometimes are messed up...it just inst something usual due too the fact that when there is damage too the clutch it isnt in the padding..the pressure plate always looks good, it's just after driving for about 4-5 months one day it either just doesnt goo into gear or the clutch doesnt work at all
