I've been having some overheating problems and I think it's time for a replacement of my thermostat on my 92 Paseo.

Problems is I don't know the location & procedure for doing so.

From what I've read its not that difficult but I just don't know exactly where it is.......bottom rad line, top line ?

Please if anyone can give me a good description, or better yet a pic it would be greatly appreciated.

if its a 4efe engine, follow the top hose from the radiator backwards to the engine block and the thermostat (or at least control valve) is there. haven't got a clue how to fish it out,

Just under distributor cap. 2 10mm nuts to undo. Easy

Just under distributor cap.  2 10mm nuts to undo.  Easy

thanks.......I've seemed to locate it .....bottom rad hose back to engine.

However, it seems anything but easy to get at.

I see the two nuts (barely), and don't think its going to be at all accessable to remove. It looks like it'll be even tougher to get back on.

So what should be my plan (angle) of attack.......should I be removing anything else to get access (or perhaps I'm looking in the entirely wrong spot if its supposed to be easy)

thanks for any more help you can give me

Sorry probably should have stated from the beginning:

it's a 5E-FE engine
